Travel.
Travel have never been all my life unlike how some people will exaggerate that. Nah, I have not traveled my whole life and didn’t have any of that privilege. As a matter in fact, I was afraid of traveling. Traveling never crossed my mind as a thing to do unless I am heading back to my home country of Malaysia. It was not until 2006 hit me like a ton of brick when I signed up for a study abroad program in Montepulciano, Italy. I wasn’t fond of the idea knowing that I didn’t know anyone in that program and being the reclusive me is probably going to introvert this whole 2 and half weeks. I still remember the first day was torturous as I am by myself and not smiling. Oh boy, little that I know I turned into a star on that program. Mainly because I am the only Asian plus I was busting jokes left and right. It was a time of my life being in that wonderful hill town in the Tuscan region. Travel has never left me since then. You know that song in Aladdin? A Whole New World.
How do we begin?
Fast forward to 2018, my wife have been in Vegas for almost a year by now. Then I started looking into Facebook Watch and see if it is something viable to do as an income, sort of like YouTube. House of Destination is later born with an emphasis of creating videos of each destination we went. It is mainly within North America but we went as far as Hawaii.
Welp Pandemic.
Yeah, that happened. After being on a full year of traveling out of state and within Nevada, coronavirus hit everyone’s life with a lockdown. Without saying too much, you can see where this is going. We hunker down at home and mainly avoided going out.
Future >>
Travel will always be there and as true as the name of “House of Destination”, we emphasize on “House” and “Destination”. We like being home and we love to think that our home is a destination.
