History.
Intricateflow is a moniker I use for all design related matter throughout my college years and during my years as a graphic designer. Now Intricateflow represent my hustle journey. It’s a journey I have been on ever since I started it in 2008 when I first won the “Badass Designer” competition organized by the Atlanta Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA).
Maybe it’s my upbringing that gotten me into a business mindset. Back in the day, my parents owned a socks factory in Malaysia and watching my parents hustle in the beginning of their journey to become a sustainable manufacturer. They were constantly meeting with brands and would leave us at home in the weekends in order to travel hundred of miles away to see potential clients. Luckily it all pays off and in my eyes they were pretty successful considering that they know nothing about manufacturing socks when they first started.
Current and recent history.
Life is constantly changing and so is perspective. I have always believed that being a W2 worker is disadvantage and being free to work on your own thing regardless if it’s freelance or owning something would fair better than paycheck to paycheck type of deal. My side hustle started back in 2009 working with various people making books, posters, packaging, social media graphics, website design, user interface and building websites. The current Intricateflow is now at it’s core of building business income and passive income that doesn’t require much capital but more sweat equity. If you hustle harder, you squeeze more juice out type of scenario.
Design to Inspire.
There was a time when everyone is lost and I was lost for a minute in a way that I didn’t know which is the right move going forward. If that sounds like that might be you, maybe this can be helpful and resourceful.
